5th Birthday and a BIG BIG BIG Fish

Some fish stories are well…fish stories. Morgan has one that will blow anyone’s socks off, this is for all of our fellow fishermen and women…

Morgan was just dabbling with a barley any worm on her hook just off a dock in a small pond. She didn’t realize she had something on until she couldn’t get it reeled in. Morgan was about to give up and literally throw my dad’s rod and reel into the pond, when (thankfully) Grandpa Krenz asked if she needed help. My dad grabbed the rod, and realized she had a BIG one on. It had to be a big ole’ bass. Well it came up and splashed the water, and Morgan then took off. This is where I come in. I was pulling up and saw Morgan running very quickly away from my dad, and I saw the rod literally bending about as far as it could. Thinking it was a snag I asked my dad if he needed help. He said GET OVER HERE!!! I was running, over and quickly saw they had quite the catch, no bass but a catfish. My dad was trying to tire it out, and I was ready to pull it in bare handed, and wrestle it to shore. My dad and I were soooo excited we were yelling at each other and jumping up and down. Dad wanted me to get some shots in the water as he was sure we couldn’t get it on land. The rest is history, and a 10 lb birthday channel catfish we’ll never forget.

Wisconsin Vacation

We just got in from our vacation in the Wisconsin Dells. I was busy with kids, and unable to take many photos but got a few in there. We stayed at the Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort http://www.wildernessresort.com/. Wow what an awesome place!!! It had seven waterparks onsight, I think we hit almost every one. The lazy river and indoor wave pool were favorites...My mom and dad came up during the middle of the vacation for a little R & R for themselves. It was a great surprise for the grandkids!

Very low humidity and mostly sunny the whole time. The evenings were grand!

Wildflowers planted outside of our resort...a very colorful display.
The House on the Rock from a scenic outlook. We didn't go this year, as we thought it would be a little much for the kids. Looks great from this view, don't you think?

C is for cookie...

This song from bible school comes to mind when I see this picture:
Chocolate Chip Cookies you've got to have more...
You can bake them in the oven or buy them at the store...
But whatever it is you can leave them at the door and I'll you till I die...
